Sifted Like Wheat
Jesus told Peter, “Satan has demanded to sift you like wheat.”
But notice what Jesus did next: “I have prayed for you.”
Peter wasn’t abandoned in the trial. Jesus already knew where the story was going—and He was actively standing in the gap for him.
That same Jesus is still interceding for you. When adversity comes, God isn’t sitting on the sidelines watching the enemy have his way. The Holy Spirit strengthens us in our weakness. Jesus intercedes for us. And the Father is working even the painful things toward His purposes. So when the enemy accuses you, there is no condemnation.
When you feel weak, the Spirit helps you.
When you walk through the fire, you don't walk through it alone.
And when you wonder, “Where was God when all of this was happening?”
He was there—standing in the gap, strengthening you, walking with you, and bringing you to the other side.
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”
