What if the difficult season you're walking through isn't proof that God is punishing you?

Hebrews 12 tells us that God disciplines His children—but what if we've misunderstood what “discipline” means?

The persecuted believers in Hebrews weren't suffering because they had failed God. They were suffering because they had followed Christ. And in the middle of that suffering, their Father wasn't standing over them with a whip—He was coming alongside them to strengthen, correct, train, and help them endure.

The trial may not be from God.

But that doesn't mean God is absent from the trial.
