What's Love Got to Do With It?

As we open chapter 5, we are admonished to be imitators of God, which is reminiscent of our call to fully represent Him in the earth. With this, the Apostle Paul immediate describes God's kind of love contrasting it with that of the world God's love is giving and sacrificial; the world's distorted version is self-centered and takes. Understanding that we have been given a new nature, Paul then admonishes us to walk like God and not like the world, and to abstain from sexual immorality or even joking about such things as these behaviors open a wide door to the enemy to desensitize us and bring in deception.
